About the Role

The Recruiting team at Stack AV is responsible for building the workforce that powers autonomous trucking. From the engineers developing cutting-edge autonomy systems to the professional drivers operating our development fleet and the mission control specialists ensuring every mile is driven safely and efficiently.

As a Senior Technical Sourcer, you will treat sourcing as a craft, finding the specialists that traditional searches miss. Your role is to help us find the right people to tell our high-integrity story to, performing the "detective work" necessary to fill hard technical roles as we move through our next phase of commercialization. You will go beyond standard platforms to build organized talent maps and high-quality pipelines that help our recruiting team stay ahead of hiring targets. By identifying where niche talent is hidden and perfecting our outreach, you’ll ensure we have a reliable, data-driven approach to landing the engineers who will build the future of autonomous trucking.

Responsibilities

  • Execute deep-dive "detective work" to surface passive specialists in niche technical domains that traditional search methods often overlook.
  • Identify and engage elite talent by crafting high-signal outreach that communicates Stack AV’s unique commercial progress and safety culture.
  • Bridge the gap on immediate, critical engineering needs by delivering high-quality pipelines for roles that are currently prioritized.
  • Utilize a sophisticated tool stack and advanced techniques to find talent where others aren't looking.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers as a technical peer to refine candidate personas and map out where the best niche talent is currently hidden.
  • Lead the adoption of the latest outreach techniques and tools, teaching the broader team how to improve engagement with elusive candidates.
  • Prepare for future commercialization phases by talent mapping and building "ready-now" pipelines for upcoming business needs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate 5+ years of expertise in technical sourcing, with a clear history of identifying high-caliber talent in AI, robotics, or robotics engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in technical recruiting or research.
  • Proven ability to uncover niche technical specialists by looking beyond standard LinkedIn searches and traditional candidate pools, treating sourcing as a high-level discipline that requires investigative research.
  • Deep proficiency with advanced sourcing tools beyond LinkedIn Recruiter, including GitHub, specialized technical communities and platforms like Gem.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to build and manage structured talent maps, track pipeline health, and organize competitive market intelligence.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft sincere, grounded outreach that resonates with senior-level passive talent.
  • Strong technical literacy, with the ability to confidently discuss complex engineering requirements and detect the right skill sets within the market.
  • Experience in a fast-paced or emerging technology environment, where you have successfully filled high-priority roles that were behind on headcount.
  • A data-driven and organized approach, with a focus on metrics that improve top-of-funnel conversion and candidate engagement.
