Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support the work of production and trade-skilled employees during assigned shifts, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Perform hands-on technical tasks, such as machine adjustments, mechanical assembly, basic electrical troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance
  • Perform hands-on technical tasks, such as machine adjustments, mechanical assembly, basic electrical troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure production equipment is running efficiently by identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics to guide team members and resolve problems.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure final products meet specifications.
  • Train employees in proper use of tools, machinery, and safety procedures related to skilled trades.
  • Communicate production updates and issues with supervisors, maintenance, and engineering teams.
  • Support equipment installation, line changeovers, and calibration when needed.
  • Maintain detailed shift logs, including work performed, downtime, and any maintenance issues.
  • Uphold a safe work environment by enforcing proper lockout/tagout procedures and PPE use.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational certification in a skilled trade (e.g., industrial maintenance, electrical, HVAC, welding, machining) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including hands-on technical work.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment..
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Manufacturing/industrial setting with regular exposure to machinery, noise, and physical activity.
  • Must be able to lift 40+ lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform hands-on technical tasks.
  • Use of PPE and compliance with all safety regulations required.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current valid driver license
  • One or more years experience in the electrical construction industry
