Now Brewing senior internal auditor– ! #tobeapartner The internal audit (IA) senior is responsible for performing financial and operational audit procedures that evaluate the adequacy of the organization’s internal controls and adherence to policies. This includes process understanding, testing, and reporting on assigned procedures with recommendations to improve control effectiveness and business operations. Job Responsibilities 1. Perform audit procedures, including conducting interviews, documenting processes and procedures, analyzing audit evidence, and identifying and defining issues under the direction of the internal audit project lead. 2. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls by executing audit programs and procedures that achieve the audit objective and scope. 3. Perform detailed data analysis using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI to detect trends, anomalies, and potential fraud. 4. Conduct follow-up activities to monitor and validate implementation of audit action plans. 5. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes through continuous education. 6. Maintain high-quality work with adherence to professional standards, and complete of tasks within established timelines. 7. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to stay current on relevant business risks, processes, and projects that may impact the overall control environment. 8. Drive team enhancements and process improvements for internal audit activities. 9. Support and perform SOX 302 and 404 compliance testing, including planning, scoping, and testing financial reporting internal controls. Skills • Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Attention to detail. • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both oral and written. • In-depth knowledge of internal audit principles and practices. • Experience with data analytics and/or visualization tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, or Power BI. • Analytical skills with ability to interpret and analyze financial data. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills. • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on industry trends. • Knowledge of Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) global standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) Education and Experience • Education: o Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, accounting, data analytics, information systems) o Advanced degrees or one or more of the professional certifications preferred: CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE • Experience: o 2 years of public accounting with a major international accounting firm, or internal audit experience at a large global company As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
