About the Role

~2 min read

Our Ypenburg production plant is a fast paced environment that scales from 130 to 300 employees depending on the season. In this role, you will split your focus equally between managing people and overseeing processes. You will maintain a wide view of the operations, using our daily standards to support Cell Leads and quickly resolve bottlenecks as they happen.

Your initial phase focuses on learning about your team and our production processes. Once you are established, your success will be measured by keeping a zero accidents culture, maintaining a motivated problem solving team, and securing on time shipments. You will play a vital part in keeping our production running smoothly so we can deliver precious memories to our customers.

  • Put employee safety above everything else and actively build a zero incidents culture

  • Manage and coach four Cell Leads to help them solve problems independently based on established standards

  • Maintain total oversight of the shop floor to spot deviations from the standard and intervene where production impact is highest

  • Lead the tiered daily management system to ensure calm and effective prioritization

  • Coordinate structured shift handovers to make sure operations continue seamlessly for the next team

  • Prepare the operation and the team for massive volume increases during our high season

  • Manage absence supervision and the performance cycle for your direct reports

  • Protect operational discipline by ensuring teams strictly follow established standards and structures

  • Identify structural bottlenecks and propose lean process improvements to boost efficiency

  • Build a highly motivated team that takes pride in honing their craft and supporting each other

  • Keep operations running smoothly during peak periods to ensure we hit all on time shipment targets

  • Collaborate closely with support departments including technical service, quality, logistics, and continuous improvement

  • Strong operational discipline and a belief that standards are the foundation for safety and success

  • Around five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a leadership role within Europe

  • Ability to stay calm, prioritize tasks, and maintain a helicopter view under high pressure

  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to self reflection and continuous personal growth

  • Fluency in both Dutch and English

  • Residence within a maximum 60 minute commute from The Hague

  • A completed Bachelor degree

  • Practical experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles
