~2 min readOur Ypenburg production plant is a fast paced environment that scales from 130 to 300 employees depending on the season. In this role, you will split your focus equally between managing people and overseeing processes. You will maintain a wide view of the operations, using our daily standards to support Cell Leads and quickly resolve bottlenecks as they happen.
Your initial phase focuses on learning about your team and our production processes. Once you are established, your success will be measured by keeping a zero accidents culture, maintaining a motivated problem solving team, and securing on time shipments. You will play a vital part in keeping our production running smoothly so we can deliver precious memories to our customers.
Put employee safety above everything else and actively build a zero incidents culture
Manage and coach four Cell Leads to help them solve problems independently based on established standards
Maintain total oversight of the shop floor to spot deviations from the standard and intervene where production impact is highest
Lead the tiered daily management system to ensure calm and effective prioritization
Coordinate structured shift handovers to make sure operations continue seamlessly for the next team
Prepare the operation and the team for massive volume increases during our high season
Manage absence supervision and the performance cycle for your direct reports
Protect operational discipline by ensuring teams strictly follow established standards and structures
Identify structural bottlenecks and propose lean process improvements to boost efficiency
Build a highly motivated team that takes pride in honing their craft and supporting each other
Keep operations running smoothly during peak periods to ensure we hit all on time shipment targets
Collaborate closely with support departments including technical service, quality, logistics, and continuous improvement
Strong operational discipline and a belief that standards are the foundation for safety and success
Around five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a leadership role within Europe
Ability to stay calm, prioritize tasks, and maintain a helicopter view under high pressure
Openness to feedback and a commitment to self reflection and continuous personal growth
Fluency in both Dutch and English
Residence within a maximum 60 minute commute from The Hague
A completed Bachelor degree
Practical experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles
