The Prescriber Outreach Pharmacy Technician is responsible for contacting provider offices to clarify prescription information. This role supports safe and accurate medication dispensing by ensuring all necessary details are confirmed and communicated clearly. It requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within digital pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

→Initiate and manage outbound calls to provider offices for prescription clarifications
→Document communication and outcomes in pharmacy software systems
→Collaborate with pharmacists and internal teams to resolve outstanding prescription issues
→Perform ancillary tasks to support prescription processing
→Uphold HIPAA standards and company policies during all interactions

Requirements

Active pharmacy technician license or certification, as required by state
Previous pharmacy or healthcare communication experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable using digital tools and pharmacy software systems
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

This position is primarily based in an onsite work environment. The role requires regular periods of sitting, standing, and computer use, with occasional lifting as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
