This role will give you the opportunity to work in a growing team to help source, conduct due diligence, and invest in private equity assets that aim at providing new and innovative solutions for a more future-proof world.

About Summa Equity

Founded in 2016, Summa Equity is an investment firm focused on the thematic areas of Circularity, Energy Transition, Sustainable Food, and Tech-Enabled Resilience. Summa’s purpose is to invest to solve global challenges.

Summa has raised close to EUR 4 billion and has made 35 platform investments across three funds to date. These investments target the critical challenges society must address, enabling the potential for long-term outperformance.

The team operates across Europe, with offices in Stockholm, Oslo and Munich. Partnerships are central to Summa’s approach, as reflected in its status as a certified B Corporation, its membership in the PRI System Stewardship Advisory Committee and the GIIN Investors Council, and its collaboration with the Capitals Coalition.

The role

The Investment Associate role contributes to the deal execution process from sourcing to closing. The role involves financial analysis of potential investments, including due diligence and valuation analysis, and contributing to proactive sourcing by performing diligent fundamental research on investments. In addition, you will cover your set of portfolio companies, supporting Summa’s ownership agenda and value creation initiatives.

The role is a permanent position with Summa, based in our Oslo office.

Areas of responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing companies, markets, industries, and teams to make investment decisions
  • Providing updates on individual investments, portfolio companies, and risk
  • Preparing and presenting investment recommendations and reports to the investment committee
  • Collaborating with the broader Summa team to enhance internal reporting processes and analytics
  • Monitoring and analyzing the financial performance and key metrics of existing investments
  • Conducting thorough market research, due diligence, and financial analysis to assess future investments
  • Adopting and developing Summa’s AI tools and workflows in your day-to-day work
  • Coaching and developing junior colleagues; Investment Analysts and Investment Interns

  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage work under pressure in a dynamic environment
