Responsibilities

Strengthen Sunrise Management’s market presence through proactive business development and strategic outreach to prospective clients, real estate brokers, and key community stakeholders. Evaluate properties as potential investment and management opportunities by collaborating with marketing and internal partners to develop proposals, prepare budgets, conduct property inspections, complete due diligence, negotiate management agreements, and lead seamless property onboarding.

Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to Regional Real Estate Managers, Assistant Regional Real Estate Managers, and Property Administrators. Build and sustain high-performing teams by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Lead recruitment and retention initiatives with a strategic, people-first approach focused on attracting top-tier talent. Conduct performance evaluations, manage sensitive and complex employee matters with discretion and professionalism, and apply fair, consistent, and effective people management practices.

Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial reports, delivering clear, concise written communications that address both stated and anticipated client concerns.

Maintain accountability for the overall financial performance of properties within the assigned management portfolio, ensuring alignment with ownership objectives.

Operate each property to its highest and best use in accordance with client goals and Sunrise Management standards, driving financial performance through optimized occupancy, strategic rental rate growth, revenue enhancement initiatives, and disciplined expense management.

Provide direct supervision and leadership to onsite teams across properties within the assigned portfolio, ensuring consistent operational excellence and adherence to Sunrise Management standards.

Partner closely with the Sunrise Management Human Resources team to recruit, interview, hire, coach, counsel, and develop the talent required to support the successful operation of the portfolio.

Offer ongoing guidance, mentorship, and performance support to team members, aligning individual professional development with Sunrise Management’s organizational goals and long-term objectives.

Develop and implement property-specific marketing and management plans that align with each client’s goals and investment objectives.

Create, oversee, and manage comprehensive advertising strategies for communities within the assigned portfolio, including property websites and relevant digital and traditional media channels.

Contribute to broader corporate marketing initiatives by providing strategic insight and recommendations related to promotions, advertising campaigns, and branding opportunities.
- Active CA Real Estate License required
- 3rd Party Property Management experience.
- 10 years’ property management experience.
- Minimum of three years Regional Vice President experience in conventional multi-family, long term rentals, including staff hiring, training and supervision.
- Knowledge of local and state landlord/tenant law and legislative activity impacting property management in California.
- Must live in geographic area.
- Experience managing a portfolio; eight or more separate properties.
- CPM designation highly desired
- Experience with core Property Management Systems, (i.e., Entrata OneSite, Yardi, AppFolio).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Financial Acumen.
- Availability of reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are a must as travel to properties and meetings will be required.
