Sunwealth is a clean energy investment firm on a mission to change who benefits from renewable energy by changing the way we invest in it. We envision a future where renewable energy is accessible, affordable and inclusive. We invest in that future by financing and managing renewable energy projects that benefit diverse communities through clean power, carbon reduction, cost savings and job creation.

Sunwealth offices are located in Cambridge’s Porter Square and New York City’s Financial District. We work on a hybrid schedule, ideally three (3) days per week in one of these offices.

 

The Cambridge, MA or New York City based Asset Management Associate will play a key role on a small team and assist in the management, financial oversight, and growth of Sunwealth’s portfolio of solar + storage projects. The ideal candidate brings a system-thinking approach to support the Asset Management team’s operational growth.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage, monitor and optimize a portfolio of high impact solar + storage projects
  • Play a key role in the creation, implementation and execution of systems and processes to scale Sunwealth’s Asset management function
  • Play a key role in the monetization of environmental commodities and incentive programs through market research and project management
  • Manage portfolio company cashflows and optimize revenue streams where applicable
  • Manage and develop customer and partner relationships
  • Manage project and portfolio company data flows for daily operations and regular reporting
  • Play a key role in building portfolio-wide technical operations and maintenance strategies
  • Support ad-hoc analysis for improved business outcomes across the organization (in close collaboration with Project Development, Project Finance, Accounting and Investor Development teams)

 

 DESIRED TRAITS/QUALIFICATIONS



  • 0-2 years’ experience in renewable energy, operations, business administration, contract administration or other similar commercial roles
  • Proficient with all MS Office programs, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and systems-thinking skills
  • Demonstrated interest in, or eagerness to learn, renewable energy project-level accounting
  • Skilled in working with cross functional teams to achieve overall business objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and clearly articulate outcomes, concerns and solutions
  • Team player who recognizes learning opportunities and can flex to fill different roles in a small organization and fast-paced environment
  • Desire to take ownership of work, follow through on tasks and orientation to action
  • Desire to take on a key role in making an impact in the social investing ecosystem
  • Experience in solar asset management or development a plus but not required
