Junior Risk Analyst (Betting)

Super is hiring a Junior Risk Analyst to join our dynamic Risk team. In this role, you will be directly involved in monitoring live bets and sportsbook activity, analyzing betting trends, line movements, and exposure in real time. You will help identify unusual betting behavior, support trading decisions, and ensure markets remain balanced and well-managed throughout live events. This role offers hands on experience working within a live betting operation while developing strong analytical and decision-making skills in sports betting risk management.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Personal or professional experience in sports betting and a general understanding of how betting platforms and markets operate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluent English;
• Flexibility, versatility, and the ability to work according to business demands, including live betting hours;
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Highly organized with a structured approach to managing live betting workflows;
• Ability to work collaboratively with trading, technical, and data-driven teams;
• Ability to manage a high volume of real-time tasks with strong prioritization skills;
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills;
• Passion for sports and a solid understanding of betting markets and wagering behavior;
• A proactive learner who is eager to develop expertise in sportsbook operations and customer risk management.

• →Monitor live bets, betting markets, and sportsbook activity in real time, identifying trends, exposure levels, and unusual betting behavior;
• →Analyze customer betting patterns and market movements to support trading and risk decisions;
• →Document betting activity and decisions through clear and accurate bet notes;
• →Assess betting outcomes and decision-making processes to identify opportunities for improvement;
• →Escalate real-time betting or market issues to the relevant trading teams;
• →Help minimize unwanted exposure, including integrity and market imbalance risks;
• →Support the balancing of odds and markets to maintain competitiveness and manage risk;
• →Work closely with the Senior Risk Analyst team on customer management and ongoing market monitoring;
• →Build awareness of specific customer profiles and betting behaviors as they emerge;
• →Identify recurring betting strategies and adapt monitoring approaches accordingly;
• →Prepare daily, monthly, and annual reports related to betting activity and performance;
• →Analyze key markets, events, and customers to identify vulnerabilities or inefficiencies;
• →Follow worldwide sporting events and in-play developments that may impact betting markets;
• →Track rule changes, injuries, and emerging trends that influence betting performance and risk.
