Who We Are

Superior Alarm Systems (SAS) is a leading commercial security integrator serving some of the most demanding environments in the country, including pharmaceutical facilities, entertainment studios, global manufacturing campuses, and mission-critical enterprise operations. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, operational excellence, and innovative security solutions that help protect our clients' people, assets, and facilities.

As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to play a critical role in supporting our operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong vendor relationships, and takes pride in maintaining efficient purchasing and inventory processes. You'll work closely with Finance, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure materials, supplies, and inventory are available when and where they're needed—helping keep projects on track and customers satisfied

What You'll Do

  • Manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and licenses needed to support company operations.
  • Prepare, process, and track purchase orders while coordinating with Accounting on billing and invoicing activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and reliable delivery schedules.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues involving product quality, quantities, pricing, or delivery timelines.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and reports to support compliance and business operations.
  • Manage and update product catalogs, pricing information, and purchasing data.
  • Support inventory control efforts, including inventory tracking, cycle counts, audits, and warehouse coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes, and increase operational efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Warehouse teams to support audits, inventory management, and company initiatives.

What You Bring

These are non-negotiable:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Experience processing purchase orders, managing suppliers, and coordinating material deliveries.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Required experience using ERP systems or inventory management software.
  • Preferred experience using QuickBooks and D-Tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to meet company driving standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comfortably work within a warehouse environment when needed.

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience leading or supporting inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Knowledge of material handling, logistics, and inventory control best practices.
  • Experience implementing inventory tracking, scanning technologies, or process improvements.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiencies.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

What SAS Offers

  • $65,000-$75,000 annually based on verified experience and systems knowledge
  • Up to 95% of medical premiums covered — plus dental and vision
  • 401(k) — because a good company invests in your future, not just your time
  • Company laptop provided
  • Two weeks PTO + 7 sick days + 7 paid holidays

The Honest Picture

  • You’ll step into a role where your work has a direct impact on the success of the business. The right person will help keep operations organized, inventory accurate, and projects moving forward.
  • This is a highly collaborative environment. You'll work closely with technicians, project managers, vendors, and leadership teams every day.
  • There’s plenty of opportunity to learn, take on new responsibilities, and expand your skills across multiple areas of the business.
  • We’re looking for someone who is proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems, you’ll be successful here.
  • This is a full-time, onsite position with a growing company that values teamwork, initiative, and continuous improvement.

This is a critical operations role that requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. If your experience is limited to basic administrative tasks and you have not been responsible for purchasing, inventory management, vendor coordination, or operational support, this position may not be the right fit.

If you're a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys building vendor relationships, optimizing processes, managing inventory, and keeping operations running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you. Join SAS and play a key role in supporting the people, projects, and systems that help drive our success.
