We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:
The Stock Clerk will report to the Supervisor, Material Handling. The selected candidate will ensure that materials held in inventory are made available to users within the organisation and provide an acceptable level of material services during and outside of normal working hours. The incumbent will log all components issued for control purposes daily to ensure reconciliation of like unserviceable items (one-for-one issue system) can be accomplished on the following day. The incumbent arranges shipments of serviceable and unserviceable aircraft parts and delivers same to the Airport Customer Service Department for transport to Line Stations. Appointment to this position will be offered on a fixed-term contractual basis.
- Directs the receipt, storage, issue, delivery and dispatch of components and materials as required and following prescribed procedures during a shift.
- Issues packages and arranges shipment of AOG spares required for Line Stations.
- Recalls or arranges the transfer of AOG/Critical components to Line Stations as required.
- Communicates with Line Stations on shipping details of AOG/Critical and standard items dispatched for allocation or AOG.
- Reports irregularities, stock shortages, discrepancies, occurrences during the shift in the Stores Technical Handover Log Book.
- Ensures that the Inventory Management System is updated at the end of each shift and on every transaction related to Material services.
- Ensures all NIS/NASI requisitions are double-checked and routed to Material Planning for processing.
- Ensures all items returned beyond economic repair from Repair Vendors or in-house workshops are disposed of according to company policy and procedures.
- Provides reports regularly to ensure accurate information is communicated.
- Ensures excellent customer service by providing the operations teams system-wide with the appropriate resources and tools and applicable regulatory compliance objectives.
- Ensures that stores operations are maintained within the Commercial guidelines of Caribbean Airlines Materials and Logistics Department.
- Maintains a safe working environment to prevent hazards and incidents.
- A minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and English.
- Three (3) years’ experience in stock control, working in a stores / warehouse environment.
- Working knowledge in the use of a materials management / inventory software system.
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Handling.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite particularly Outlook and Excel.
