This internship is ideal for Polytechnic or University students who are curious about
logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations. You’ll get hands-on exposure to real
freight operations while being guided by an experienced team; no prior experience
required.
Training will be provided, and you’ll learn by doing.
Responsibilities

• Assist the team with shipment bookings and coordination with carriers, agents,
and shippers.
• Support preparation and checking of shipping documents (e.g. Bills of Lading,
invoices, permits) under guidance.
• Help prepare pre-alerts and organise shipping paperwork for overseas agents.
• Support billing checks to ensure shipment details are accurate.
Documentation & Tracking
• Assist in preparing and verifying Bills of Lading (BL).
• Maintain and update shipment records in internal systems.
• Support email communication with customers and overseas agents on shipment
status.
Team & Problem-Solving Support
• Help follow up on documentation or booking issues to keep shipments on track.
• Provide backup support to teammates during leave or busy periods.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by the team to support daily operations.
What You’ll Learn (Learning Outcomes)
By the end of this internship, you will:
• Understand the end-to-end shipping workflow (from booking to final delivery).
• Gain hands-on experience with shipping documents such as Bills of Lading,
invoices, and permits.
• Learn how freight forwarders coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, and
customers.
• Gain exposure to freight forwarding systems and digital tools (e.g. Fr8Labs)
used to manage shipments and documentation.
• Build professional communication skills through real email and coordination
work.
• Develop strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills in a
fast-paced environment.
• Polytechnic or University students from Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or
related fields (other disciplines welcome if interested).
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
• Good attention to detail and communication skills.
• Able to commit to a 6-month full-time internship.
• No prior logistics experience required: training will be provided.
• Immediate availability is a plus.
