Looking for a Database Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and optimizing Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong Oracle Database administration skills, advanced SQL and PL/SQL development expertise, and experience supporting mission-critical applications in secure, high-availability environments. This individual will work closely with software developers, system engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of database systems.
CWIP: IAT Level 1
Tech Experience: Oracle w/Sql
Years of Experience: 5 years w/ degree (10 years w/o)
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). 5 Years of experience may be subsituted for bachelors degree.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c, or newer).
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
- Experience with Oracle RMAN backup and recovery.
- Experience performing database performance tuning using Oracle tools.
- Strong understanding of indexing, query optimization, execution plans, and database architecture.
- Experience supporting Linux-based server environments.
- Experience with database migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, ASM, or GoldenGate.
- Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
