STR is seeking candidates ranging from experienced developers to technical leads; entry-level developers will not be considered for this role.

STR’s Analytics and Command & Control (AC2) Division designs, develops and deploys novel technologies to solve challenging national security problems. Our team consists of passionate and motivated engineers and scientists with degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. The Decisions Systems Group in the AC2 Division develops algorithms and tools that enable human planners to collaborate with AI to make the best decisions possible. The VizIX team within Decision Systems serves as a center of excellence for User Experience (UX) design, development, testing, and deployment for a wide range of defense and intelligence programs throughout STR.

Responsibilities

→Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
→5+ years’ experience with JavaScript, CSS, CSS extension languages (LESS, Sass), CSS preprocessor tools, HTML5 and its best practices.

→Demonstrated expertise with at least two of: React, Redux, Flask, Django, Node, Vue.
→Demonstrated expertise with at least one other back-end programming language (Python, Java, .Net, JavaScript) and willingness to learn more.
→Demonstrated expertise with Geolocation & Mapping such as Google Maps API, OpenStreetMap, or other mapping solutions.
→Proficiency with Git version control and
→Able to work independently and as part of a team.
→S. Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Experience with User Interactions and User Experience, or UI/UX research.
Comfortable engaging with engineers and end-users to gather requirements
Familiarity with emerging AI ecosystems for UI/UX design, development, and test

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140,000.00 to $170,000.00

The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
