Assistant Cook, District Float

Join our team and help make a difference in our guests lives with fresh, chef-created, and prepared food. The District Float Assistant Cook provides versatile support across multiple school sites, filling in for absent staff to ensure student meals are served without interruption. This is a guaranteed 5-hour daily position, with the requirement to work an extended 6-or-7 hour shifts depending on the schedule of the employee being covered.  Be a lunch SUPERHERO working with a team of professionals to bring nutritious and authentic food to our customers! * Reliable transportation to travel to various school sites across the district.

* Ability to respond to early morning schedule changes or short-notice assignments.

* Work extended 6- or 7-hour shifts on short notice to cover for absent staff.

* Preparing, serving, distributing food and clean up and may require working in various areas. 

* Lift, carry, push, or pull kitchen supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.* Contributing to a positive work environment
* Demonstrating integrity, dependability, and punctuality
* Maintaining a professional appearance
* Following food safety requirements/guidelines
* Performs other duties as requested by the leadership team

* Food Service experience preferred/customer service experience desired
* Ability to do simple arithmetic
* Ability to make correct change and use a basic computation device
