To provide hands-on creative and operational support to the Social Media team. This role is perfect for a "digital native" who is obsessed with social media trends and knows how to capture content that stops the scroll. You will be the "boots on the ground" assisting in the creation of viral hooks and internal content that brings the Takealot brand to life.

Currently studying or recently completed a diploma/degree in:

Marketing
Communications
Media Studies
Digital Marketing
PR or related field

Platform Fluency: You spend your time on TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook. You don't just use them; you get
Mobile Content Creation: You know your way around a smartphone camera to capture high-quality raw footage.
App Savvy: Basic to intermediate skills in CapCut, Canva, and in-app social editors.
Trend Spotting: You notice what works vs. what flops online and can identify a viral hook before it peaks.

Sense of Humour & Relatability: You understand tone and how to talk to a community, not at
Curiosity: You’re always asking "why did that go viral?"
Agility: Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
Proactive & Self-motivated: You don’t wait for a brief; you see a trend and suggest a shoot.
Professional Discretion: High level of integrity when handling internal "behind-the-scenes" access.

Responsibilities

→Content Capture: Assisting in the "on the ground" shooting of viral hooks, office culture.
→Trend Execution: Helping turn trending audios and concepts into Takealot-relevant content.
→Operational Support: Assisting with the logistics of content shoots..
