We are looking for a motivated and quality focused Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team to design, build, and maintain reliable and scalable data pipelines.
The ideal candidate is a strong Python/PySpark developer equally comfortable with writing code and helping business teams understand data. A self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, ability to think big (while paying careful attention to detail) and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Work with business teams and analysts to understand complex business rules and implement these for deriving insights.
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
- Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
- Provide thought leadership and collaborate with other team members to continue to scale our architecture to evolve for the needs of tomorrow.
- Develop and support continuous integrations build and deployment processes using Jenkins, Docker, Git, etc.
- Define and implement monitoring and alerting policies for data solutions.
- Design and develop responsive, user-facing web applications using modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs that bridge back-end data services with front-end interfaces.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into polished, accessible web interfaces that meet usability and performance standards.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability across the full application stack.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions spanning both front-end and back-end components.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Python.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in using advanced SQL queries and writing/optimizing highly efficient SQL queries.
- 2+ years of working in AWS environment.
- Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs is highly desirable.
- Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and/or HTML5 and frameworks such as React Js, Node, Angular, Vue.js and/or jQuery is highly desirable.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building modern front-end applications using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with a strong understanding of responsive and accessible design principles.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, with knowledge of API security best practices.
- Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Comfortable working with business customers to collect requirements and gain a deep understanding of varied business domains.
- Knowledge of software coding practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or similar.
