We are currently hiring for a full-time Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist interested in a leadership role. Our Lead SLP will be actively treating patients while also providing clinical support to our team of Speech Therapists. 


Lead Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support to assigned team members, including direct on-site support and consultation via phone, email, or video conferencing regarding treatment planning, goal implementation, and therapy modifications.
  • Review and co-sign documentation for clinicians requiring supervision (e.g., newly credentialed providers within their first 90 days), including treatment notes and evaluation reports to ensure accuracy of clinical findings, treatment plans, coding, and recommended frequency of services.
  • Provide supervision of paraprofessionals and assistants (SLP-CFs, SLP-As) in accordance with ASHA  standards and SC LLR regulations.
  • Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations for personal caseload and for assigned team members (e.g., paraprofessionals), including all required documentation and billing.
  • Support team development through new hire onboarding and training

Speech-Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify patients who could benefit from AAC and trial various devices and support family to obtain medically necessary equipment. Successfully complete AAC evaluation reports, with clinical support.
  • Accept, evaluate, and treat feeding patients
  • Record therapy notes (SOAP), patient observations, evaluation reports, care plans (POCs), and discharge of clients
  • Design, develop, and employ alternative diagnostic or communication devices and strategies.
  • Instruct clients in techniques for more effective carryover of strategies and techniques.
  • Develop individualized speech therapy exercise programs and home programs for families to implement, to facilitate generalization across settings.
  • Ensure regular communication with parents or caregivers and educate/instruct patients and family members in strategies to facilitate progress.


Lead Speech-Language Pathologist Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited university with a master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), Communication Disorders (MCD) or equivalent program OR a current State of South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license (SC LLR).
  • Must be licensed (or pursuing CF licensure) in the state of South Carolina with the SCLLR as an SLP and maintain the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient pediatric therapy or relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role is preferred
  • AAC & Feeding experience are a plus!
  • Knowledge and understanding of children’s developmental stages from ages 0-18 to properly analyze the growth, movement (motor), cognitive, and maturation process/transition between skill levels.
  • Previous pediatric experience is required through employment or clinical rotation.


Speech-Language Pathologist Compensation & Pay Structure:

  • Base Salary includes therapy sessions and administrative time (documentation, caregiver communication, etc.) for full-time W2 positions.
  • Bonus Commission for increased productivity
