We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering the PeopleForce SaaS platform.

This role focuses on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cloud security. You will work closely with engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure systems while driving platform excellence and operational efficiency.

You will play a critical role in maintaining the availability, performance, security, and scalability of our production environments and supporting our ongoing cloud-native transformation.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in a DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE role or similar
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Deep expertise in Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Extensive experience with Docker and containerized applications
Strong experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Infrastructure as Code practices
Experience managing Helm charts and Kubernetes deployments
Experience implementing GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and cloud architecture principles
Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
Experience with incident management and production support

Responsibilities

Responsible for the Infrastructure behind PeopleForce (cloud and on-premises)

Automation of Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code techniques

Close collaboration with Development Teams

Programming and Scripting: Utilise Ruby on Rails to develop scripts or make minor code adjustments to address or mitigate issues. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the platform as needed.

Database Management: Execute SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis to support issue resolution and report generation. Ensure data integrity and performance optimization.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed documentation of common issues and solutions. Share knowledge with the team to improve overall efficiency and service quality.

Feedback Loop: Work closely with the development team to report bugs and suggest improvements based on recurring issues or client feedback.

Monitoring and Performance: Monitor the platform for performance issues, identify patterns, and suggest improvements or preventative measures to enhance stability and usability.

The role may require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours.
This position may involve direct client interaction through various phone, email, and chat channels.
