Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Architecture

→Define and maintain enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap
→Design scalable architecture for the Databricks Lakehouse environment
→Establish data modeling standards and reference architectures; explore adoption across other healthcare clusters
→Guide data integration patterns across healthcare systems
→Drive data solutioning for new and existing use cases
→Evaluate new technologies and make strategic recommendations to leadership on what new technologies should be adopted
→Evaluate vendor-proposed / provided architectures, including validation of vendor deliverables against standards, and providing sign-offs on vendor solutions.

Data Governance & Quality

→Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance framework that spans across different data platforms
→Establish and maintain data quality standards and monitoring approaches
→Define metadata management strategies
→Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
→Design data lineage and cataloguing solutions

Technical Implementation & Operations

→Guide implementation of data pipelines using Informatica IDMC and Spark
→Review and implement data operations best practices
→Monitor and optimise data workflow performance

Leadership & Collaboration

→Lead team of assigned resources as required
→Collaborate with Data Engineering Lead on infrastructure needs
→Mentor team members on best practices
→Drive knowledge sharing and documentation
→Lead committee(s) as and where required

Requirements

8+ years of data architecture experience
5+ years of healthcare industry experience
Proven experience leading data engineering teams
Ability to balance technical excellence with practical implementation
Technical skills in the following areas:
- Databricks Lakehouse Architectures
- Informatica IDMC
- Apache Spark and Python
- Healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Data modeling and design
- SQL and Data Warehousing
- Data security and compliance frameworks
