We’re looking for a Trade Operations & Certifications Specialist to own and accelerate product certification and regulatory compliance activities that directly enable customer shipments and revenue realization. In this role, you will serve as the single accountable owner for driving end-to-end certification execution across Sales, Systems Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and external regulatory agencies.

This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON.

  • Experienced in product certification, trade compliance, or regulatory affairs, with a strong grasp of global import/export requirements and agency approval processes.
  • Skilled at coordinating across multiple functions, comfortable aligning Sales, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and external agencies around a shared execution plan.
  • A proactive problem solver who identifies roadblocks early, escalates with clarity, and drives resolution without waiting to be asked.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management instincts, able to track multiple concurrent certification programs, timelines, and risk factors simultaneously.

 

Requirements

  • Drive end-to-end product certification activities and regulatory approvals across all relevant markets and regional bodies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional actions across Sales, Systems Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and external certification agencies to keep programs on schedule.
  • Identify and remove certification roadblocks that prevent customer shipments, managing escalation paths and communicating risk to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Ensure products meet regional import, export, and regulatory requirements to support global deployments and on-time revenue recognition.

 

Responsibilities

  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder certification processes across global regulatory bodies and agencies, building deep expertise in international trade compliance frameworks.
  • Develop cross-functional leadership skills by working at the intersection of revenue, operations, and product delivery in a fast-moving hardware environment.
  • Gain direct visibility into how certification execution connects to customer satisfaction, shipment velocity, and cash flow, making a measurable impact on business outcomes.

 

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
