- A track record of planning experiments and completing deliverables within specified timelines.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and capability of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner.
- A strong self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work with dynamic teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical setting.
- Industrial research experience is preferred.
- It's a bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and biology
- Prior experience with various protein characterization techniques
- Experience with lipid nanoparticle process scale up/down
- Process development and/or analytical development experience
- Assisting in the development of an extrahepatic LNP delivery vehicle to support delivery of editing payloads in vivo.
- Assisting with experimental design and execution of formulation discovery and platform development activities.
- Performing characterization of LNPs to determine size, polydispersity, concentration and encapsulation using established techniques.
- Performing characterization of LNPs to determine RNA and protein content.
- Executing experimental plans and interpreting the results with guidance from senior scientists.
- Troubleshooting lab workflows and maintaining lab equipment.
- Providing high quality results and maintaining high quality documentation in lab notebooks.
- Collaborating effectively with process development, analytical development, biology, and pharmacology teams.
- You are a driven, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is comfortable multitasking and working independently on various aspects of the platform. You are interested in joining a dynamic and highly collaborative team that's responsible for the design, and implementation of RNA Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) delivery vehicles.

Michael is a member of the Novel Delivery Technologies team at Tessera where he focuses on developing targeted lipid nanoparticle delivery systems for delivery of RNA payloads to various extrahepatic cell types. Prior to joining Tessera, Michael previously worked on targeted LNP delivery and process development at Tidal Therapeutics and Sanofi. Michael holds an MS in Bioengineering from Tuft’s University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.

What We Offer

Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to individual qualifications, years of relevant experience, internal compensation alignment, and external market data.
Pay Range: $44.00 - $50.00 USD per hour
