Heavy-Duty Forklift Operator – Industrial Yard

The Heavy-Duty Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of tubular products, pipe, casing, and heavy equipment within a fast-paced outdoor logistics yard. Using large-capacity forklifts, you will load and unload flat deck trailers, organize inventory throughout the yard, and support daily logistics operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service. Please note this role is NOT a warehouse position.

  Work with yard labourers to load and unload tubular pipes onto trucks

  Offload incoming tubular products from railcars and clear debris

• →

  Assist truck and delivery drivers with safe and efficient loading/unloading

• →

  Perform material handling duties such as counting, sorting, packing, and unpacking

• →

  Ensure all product quality meets company and customer standards

  Meet daily productivity and efficiency targets

  Report and assist with equipment maintenance issues

  Support general yard and warehouse clean-up, maintenance, and administrative duties

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy-duty forklifts (up to 30,000 lbs) in an outdoor industrial or logistics yard.
• Experience handling tubular products, pipe, casing, steel, or other oversized industrial materials is required.
• Proven experience loading and unloading flat deck trailers safely and efficiently.
• Experience operating gas, diesel, or electric forklifts with capacities up to 30,000 lbs.
• Previous experience in pipe/casing operations, industrial material handling, or inventory control is considered a strong asset.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights.
• Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal record check, pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and fit-for-duty requirements.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime, on-call, or weekends as needed

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
