Opportunity to play a key role in building and shaping a growing operation from the ground up
  • Lead day-to-day yard operations, supervising tarp and shunt crews on the floor
  • Drive team performance by ensuring productivity, efficiency, and operational targets are consistently met
  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed and continuously improved
  • Operate a shunt tractor to safely move trailers between staging areas and load bays as required
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper tracking of materials and equipment
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and actively participate in customer-led safety initiatives
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to build a high-performing, safety-focused workforce
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for customers, maintaining professional communication and strong working relationships
  • 3–5 years of experience in yard, logistics, or industrial operations, including leadership or lead hand responsibilities
  • A hands-on leadership style, leading by example and working alongside the team
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
  • Professional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
  • A proactive approach to safety, productivity, and continuous improvement
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (required for on-site trailer shunting)
  • Experience operating a shunt tractor or willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation to the Carseland, AB facility
