WHERE YOU WILL WORK
The Carlisle Distribution Center (CDC) is a 1.2 million square foot distribution facility operating across two shifts with approximately 80 employees. The operation is responsible for receiving, storing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping activities to support customer requirements and business objectives. The facility emphasizes safety, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement to maintain high service levels.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Distribution Supervisor is accountable for providing leadership, direction, and support for daily operations within the Distribution Center (DC) while working under minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and distribution operations within a 1.2 million square foot facility operating across two shifts
- Leads and develops a workforce of approximately 40 employees (second shift) by providing coaching, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and operational standards while fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability
- Monitors attendance, timekeeping, and labor utilization to ensure proper staffing levels, maintain productivity, and support operational requirements
- Manages inbound receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping activities to achieve customer service and operational objectives
- Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, attendance, inventory accuracy, service levels, and cost, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed
- Collaborates with transportation, customer service, and supply chain teams to resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and maintain high service levels
- Supports labor planning, resource allocation, inventory accuracy, and cost-control efforts to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals
It is our philosophy that supervisors work “for” the associates under their direction, the supervisor must be able to take a coaching, mentoring approach to managing the department – “How do I help my team succeed?”
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree or equivalent Supervisory experience (business, management, logistics or comparable); bachelor’s degree a plus
- Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience
- Experience working in a distribution center required; e-commerce fulfillment strongly encouraged
- Experienced with a variety of DC equipment and systems, examples should include several from each category:
- Vans, Curtain-Side, LTL, Intermodal Container
- Reach trucks, order pickers, man-up, electric pallet jack, RF devices
- Select racking, push-back racking, vertical storage, bin shelving
- Orbital wrappers, box makers
- WMS, Yard Management, Freight Portals, Microsoft Office
ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position splits the time between the shop floor and occasionally in a shared shipping office. The associate will be regularly required to see bilaterally with 20/40 vision, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
The associate will be frequently required to walk up to 8 hours, talk, and hear. At times the associate will be required to stand up to 10 hours, sit, grasp, and reach with hands and arms. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may need the ability to lift, push, and pull up loads up to 50 pounds.
The associate will be exposed to a manufacturing environment with wet or humid conditions, warm temperatures occasionally in the summer (above 95 degrees F), and cool temperatures (below 40 degrees F) occasionally in the winter. The associate is required to wear personal protective equipment, including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and a high visibility vest.
