We are seeking an experienced and compassionate veterinary assistant with an interest in specialty practice. We are a staff of inspired veterinary professionals, practicing 21st century medicine in a state of the art and collaborative environment. As an Assistant at TACC you will play a critical role in supporting our veterinary cardiologists and Technicians to provide the highest standard of care to the companion animals of New York City and beyond. Confident restraint skills and an acute attention to detail are required in this communication and history intensive environment. 

• 2+ year experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical environment
• Skilled in client communication and patient intake, including advanced history taking tailored to specialty care needs
• Confident in handling and restraint
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology
• The ability to effectively budget time for you and for the team
• Highly evolved interpersonal skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
• The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
• The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
• An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
