Building Controls Engineering Lead

The Building People, LLC has an opening for a Building Controls Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership, system architecture, and delivery oversight for advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS). This senior-level role is responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning, and lifecycle support of Tridium Niagara–based, vendor‑agnostic building controls solutions across complex facilities. The Engineering Lead will serve as a technical authority, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with customers, project managers, and subcontractors to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performance smart building systems.

In this role, the Engineering Lead will lead and coordinate a team of controls engineers and specialists, providing technical direction, mentoring, and quality assurance to deliver consistent, high‑performance solutions across a diverse federal and commercial portfolio. The position serves as a technical authority and primary escalation point, partnering closely with customers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant smart building systems are delivered on time and within scope.
