Designation:  Assistant Manager  - Accounts payable - Global Service Centre

Base Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Sr Manager Accounts Payable GSC

Role Purpose: The Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable will be responsible for managing end-to-end AP operations for the US/CA region, ensuring timely invoice processing, vendor payments, and monthly AP closing activities with MIS reporting. Aadherence to compliance and control frameworks. The role requires strong process knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Processing & Payments:

  • Oversee end-to-end invoice processing (PO & Non-PO invoices) 

  • Ensure accurate 2-way/3-way matching and coding of invoices 

  • Manage payment cycles (ACH, Wire, Checks) as per agreed timelines 

  • Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments 

 

2. Vendor Management:

  • Handle vendor queries and resolve discrepancies promptly 

  • Perform regular vendor reconciliations 

  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders 

 

3. Compliance & Controls:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls 

  • Monitor duplicate payments, fraud risks, and audit requirements 

  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation 

 

4. Team Management & SLA Delivery:

  • Supervise day-to-day AP operations and ensure SLA/TAT adherence 

  • Allocate work, monitor productivity, and track performance metrics 

  • Train and mentor team members

 

Shift Requirement:

  • Willing to work in US Night Shift

 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • 5 -7 years’ experience in managing global functions like Accounts Payable. 

  • Experience in major ERPs like SAP/Oracle is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. 

  • Flexible to work in shifts

  • Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle

     

 

Education & Qualifications: 

  • Graduate or postgraduate B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
  • Prior experience in handling US/CA region is an advantage
