We are looking for a Welder to join our Summit Truck & Equipment Repair team in Salmo. Responsibilities

→General welding repairs on trailers, trucks, and custom equipment
→Perform welding repair inspections and time estimates on both on and off-road equipment
→Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine requirements
→Complete Structural Welding
→Customize mobile equipment and/or parts as per the customer's request
→Provide welding support primarily in the shop and occasionally in the field
→Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
→Develop a welding repair process with the Service Manager
→Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and guidelines

Requirements

As a member of the Summit Truck and Equipment Repair team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:

Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification
3-4 years of experience in commercial truck and trailer welding repairs
Team player who can share his/her knowledge by teaching and coaching junior employees
Ability to work safely in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving ability
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn new programs
Demonstrate and promote work-safe practices
