Make Every Delivery Count The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected logistics and warehousing organization to find a highly organized and solutions-driven Dispatch Coordinator for their fast-paced operations team in South San Francisco. This role is about precision, coordination, and delivering exceptional service every step of the way. The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods by coordinating shipments, communicating with drivers, clients, and internal teams, and resolving logistical issues as they arise. This role plays a key part in keeping deliveries on schedule, optimizing routes, and maintaining compliance with safety and transportation standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential. By managing dispatch operations efficiently, this position directly supports operational success and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do Coordinate daily dispatch operations by scheduling and assigning shipments based on driver availability, routes, and delivery requirements Communicate with drivers throughout the day to monitor shipment progress, address delays and resolve issues quickly Partner with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Track shipment activity, prepare and maintain accurate dispatch records and reports Troubleshoot logistical challenges including delays, route changes, and equipment issues, vehicle breakdowns promptly and efficiently Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures Support operational improvements and assist in onboarding and training new team members What We Are Looking For Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple shipments and collaborate effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers Proven problem-solving abilities to quickly resolve delays, equipment issues, and other operational challenges in a fast-paced environment Experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or warehouse coordination Comfortable working with dispatch software, transportation systems, and Microsoft Office Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-moving environment Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate performance data, identify operational improvements, and drive more efficient service delivery Proficiency in dispatch software and transportation management systems for efficient route scheduling and real-time shipment tracking Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in dispatch coordination or logistics operations Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards Proficiency with dispatch systems and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and route optimization tools Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management Data analysis or reporting experience Customer service experience in a logistics environment Why Join Us?
