Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Deliver automotive technology instruction in classroom and lab settings.
- →Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
- →Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and performance; maintain accurate records and submit required reports.
- →Support curriculum development, course preparation, equipment maintenance, and student retention initiatives.
- →Communicate student concerns, attendance issues, and other matters requiring attention to the Program Coordinator.
- →Participate in required training, professional development, and instructor development activities.
- →Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
Requirements
~1 min read- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three (3) years of practical automotive industry experience.
- ASE Certification equal to the level of classes taught (preferred).
- Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and industry safety standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
- Proficiency with computers and instructional technology.
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and commitment to student success.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and teach both day and evening classes.
- Commitment to completing at least 20 hours of annual technical update training.
