Provide hands-on exposure to Milling operations, developing technical milling knowledge, process understanding, and operational problem-solving skills under the guidance of experienced millers and production leaders

Support the milling team in daily milling operations under supervision to ensure stable and efficient mill performance.

• Assist in monitoring and controlling the milling process, including wheat cleaning, conditioning, grinding, sifting, and flour blending.

• Participate in shift operations and handovers to understand milling schedules, production targets, and operational constraints.

• Assist in monitoring key milling parameters such as throughput, extraction rates, yield, stock flow, power consumption, and mill balance.

• Collect, capture, and analyse milling performance data to identify losses, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

• Support mill adjustments and changeovers under guidance, including roll gap settings, sieve changes, and stock distribution.

• Assist in identifying and responding to milling deviations such as blockages, stock imbalances, abnormal vibrations, or excessive losses.

• Participate in preventive operational checks to support equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on milling efficiency, yield optimisation, waste reduction, and cost control.

• Work closely with maintenance and intake teams to improve milling stability and overall plant performance.

• Ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements relevant to milling operations at all times.
