Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service - Operational Support Clerk
The Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service is seeking an Operational Support Clerk. Our Operational Support Clerks work as part of a team of sworn police officers providing critical operational and administrative support to frontline activities. This position perform duties that include, but are not limited to, processing court disclosure packages, creating and laying informations on JOIN, vetting/downloading AXON body worn camera footage from Evidence.com, generating files, monitoring the CPIC and Administration task queue on PROS, communicating with internal and external agencies, data entry, removal and modifications on CPIC and PROS ensuring CPIC and PROS policy is adhered to, and scoring files in adherence to Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) policies.

Roles and responsibilities
Working with policing data systems, including:
- overseeing and auditing task queues
- assisting sworn officers with data entry and scoring
- providing support with ensuring data quality best practices
- generating files
- ticket maintenance, modification and submissions
- Oversite, and data entry related to policing data systems
- vetting and downloading of body worn camera files
Working with the judicial system, including:
- Working with sworn officers to prepare court disclosure packages
- Creating pre-charge assessment packages
- Creating documents and reports
- Monitoring court emails
- Updating court calendar entries
- Process court files on court days
Operational Support for sworn members, including:
- Requesting information and documentation from outside agencies
- Assisting officers with Judicial Interim Release process
- Calling in members during major incidents
- Preparing shift logs
- Ensuring members have accurate and up to date information
- Dispatching calls for service when needed
Required knowledge, skills, and qualities
- Relevant work experience or experience with the criminal justice system is preferred
- Able to pass an Enhanced Security Clearance
- Able to interact and engage with officers and take direction under stress
- Able to work shift work
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with team members, police officers, and internal and external agencies
Education and training
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain a peace officer appointment
DEPARTMENT: Strategic Services
REPORTS TO: Manager, Strategic Services
LOCATION: TNPS Headquarters
SCHEDULE: Rotating shift schedule that includes working some evenings and weekends
SALARY RANGE: As per TNPS Pay Scales
