Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sheet Metal Coping Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the fabrication and preparation of sheet metal components for coping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the production process. You will work closely with experienced sheet metal workers to measure, cut, and finish sheet metal parts to required specifications. This position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and setting up sheet metal for coping, including measuring, cutting, and marking materials.
• Operate basic sheet metal coping machines and tools under supervision to create precise cuts and shapes in metal sheets.
• Help with the assembly and positioning of sheet metal components for coping operations.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine material requirements and job specifications.
• Ensure all parts are measured, cut, and finished to meet quality standards.
• Maintain an organized inventory of materials and tools.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status, material needs, and any concerns.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials and transporting them to designated workstations.
