Founding Finance Manager

Every production AI system, whether it's powering customer support, writing code, analyzing financial data, or diagnosing medical conditions, needs the same foundational infrastructure.A way to route between models. A way to manage tools and integrate them securely. A way to orchestrate agents and enforce governance. A unified compute layer to run it all.

We're TrueFoundry, and we're building it. We're looking for a Founding Finance Manager to join the team.

Companies are moving beyond simple chatbots to production agentic systems. These systems route between OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and self-hosted models. They integrate dozens of tools via protocols like MCP. They orchestrate multi-agent workflows where agents coordinate with other agents.

The infrastructure to support this doesn't exist yet. You can't just duct-tape together a few API calls and call it production-ready.

You need a control plane that handles:

• Intelligent routing with observability, cost policies, and fallback logic
• Centralized tool and MCP server management with security and lifecycle controls
• Agent orchestration with governance and guardrails
• A unified compute layer to run self-hosted models, custom tools, and agents

We've built two products to solve this:

  Raise and manage customer invoices across geographies

  Maintain clean, audit-ready books with accurate currency conversions

  Ensure payroll accuracy and statutory adherence (India + US coordination)

  Track FX movements, conversions, and exposure

  Prepare monthly MIS for founders (revenue, burn, runway, margins)

• →

  Work with Sales & Legal on contracts, billing terms, and collections

• →

  Support US compliance needs through advisors (entity filings, audits, reporting)

  Design finance processes that scale without slowing the company down

• Founders have complete confidence in financial reporting

• US and India compliance is handled proactively, not reactively

• No surprises during audits, due diligence, or board reviews

• Finance acts as an enabler of speed and scale

• You’ve handled end-to-end finance in a startup or scaling company

• You’ve worked with US-facing businesses or US entities

• You understand the basics of US GAAP, audit processes, and compliance requirements

• You’re comfortable managing multi-currency and cross-border operations

• You’re hands-on, detail-oriented, and founder-facing

• You can translate complex financial requirements into simple decisions

• 7-12 years in Finance / Accounting / Controllership roles

• Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of:

  • Revenue recognition and invoicing

  • Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, payroll)

(CA / CPA preferred but not mandatory if experience is strong.)
