Senior Clinical Informaticist - Clinical Intelligence

Truveta is the world’s first health provider led data platform with a vision of Saving Lives with Data. Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Achieving Truveta’ s ambitious vision requires an incredible team of talented and inspired people with a special combination of health, software and big data experience who share our company values.

Truveta was born in the Pacific Northwest, but we have employees who live across the country.  Our team enjoys the flexibility of a hybrid model and working from anywhere.  In person attendance is required at least once per year for an onsite meeting.

For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time. #LI-remote

Who We Need

Truveta is rapidly building a talented and diverse team to tackle complex health and technical challenges. Beyond core capabilities, we are seeking problem solvers, passionate and collaborative teammates, and those willing to roll up their sleeves while making a difference. If you are interested in the opportunity to pursue purposeful work, join a mission-driven team, and build a rewarding career while having fun, Truveta may be the perfect fit for you.

This Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Data Scientist – Healthcare Solutions to join the Catalysts team.

Catalysts enables customers to unlock the full value of Truveta's data, products, and intelligence offerings through practical solutions, reusable assets, and customer-facing enablement.

In this role, you will work to deliver incredible value to Truveta’s member systems through Truveta products and experiences. You will work directly with healthcare systems to understand operational challenges, quality improvement initiatives, and performance goals and how Truveta’s capabilities, across Intelligence and Data, can support their goals.  You will rapidly develop prototypes, validate them with customers, and evolve successful solutions into production-ready product capabilities.

Solutions may include interactive dashboards, analytical applications, template studies, workflows, and other product experiences that help healthcare organizations understand clinical and operational performance, benchmark against peers, identify opportunities for quality improvement, and drive data-informed decision making.

Success requires healthcare expertise, customer engagement, product thinking, and hands-on solution development. The strongest candidates are comfortable moving quickly from customer problem identification to working solutions while partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to bring successful concepts into production.

Key Responsibilities

    • Partner directly with our healthcare systems and similar customers to understand operational workflows, quality initiatives, and performance goals.
    • Develop a deep understanding of healthcare operations, quality improvement programs, benchmarking approaches, and performance metrics.
    • Identify opportunities where Truveta's Data, analytics, and Intelligence offerings can create meaningful customer value.
    • Translate customer challenges into practical solution concepts and product opportunities.
    • Design and develop minimum viable solutions that address healthcare operational, quality, and research challenges.
    • Build interactive dashboards, analytical applications, workflows, and customer-facing experiences using Streamlit, R Shiny, Python, R, SQL, and related technologies.
    • Validate solutions directly with healthcare organizations and continuously refine experiences based on customer feedback, adoption, and outcomes.
    • Apply rapid prototyping and iterative development approaches to accelerate learning and customer value.
    • Focus on solutions that can evolve into scalable product capabilities.
    • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to identify, validate, and prioritize opportunities.
    • Develop solutions that serve as the foundation for future product capabilities rather than one-off analyses or demonstrations.
    • Translate customer feedback, workflow observations, and prototype learnings into product requirements and roadmap recommendations.
    • Drive successful solutions through validation, refinement, and productization.
    • Influence product direction through demonstrated customer value and measurable outcomes.
    • Present solutions, findings, and recommendations to healthcare leaders, researchers, analysts, and internal stakeholders.
    • Communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Build alignment across customers, Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams.
    • Establish credibility through practical solutions and measurable impact.

  • Understands how healthcare systems measure performance and make improvement decisions.
  • Builds engaging dashboards and analytical applications that customers actively use.
  • Creates minimum viable solutions that solve real customer problems and generate actionable feedback.
  • Balances customer value, technical feasibility, and speed of execution.
  • Uses customer adoption and outcomes to guide future iterations.
  • Successfully influences product direction through validated customer needs and solution usage.
  • Helps transform prototypes into production-ready product capabilities.
  • Operates independently and drives outcomes through influence, collaboration, and ownership.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with healthcare systems, customers, or stakeholders to identify needs, gather feedback, and drive adoption.
  • Experience developing prototypes, minimum viable products (MVPs), or customer-facing analytical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives from problem identification through solution delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong experience using AI-assisted development tools and modern prototyping workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in healthcare, public health, health informatics, analytics, data science, business, or a related field.
