Our Accountant II is responsible for preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, financial reports, and compiling, maintaining, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
This position will serve our Rheem Northeast Distribution Division, located in Islandia, NY.
- Prepares accounting records including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Maintains general ledger including preparation of journal entries & invoice coding.
- Reconciles subsidiary accounts to control accounts, tracing discrepancies to original documents and initiate necessary adjusting entries.
- Prepares intercompany and interplant billings to respective locations.
- Reconciles intercompany and interplant accounts for all companies.
- Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years’ experience in accounting
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Demonstrates ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
Experience with financial reporting.
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
Manufacturing industry experience desirable.
Experience with Oracle preferred.

Equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may supplement above minimum job requirements.
The pay scale for this position $56,100- $96,768. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated, and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
