The Center for Economics, Politics & History (https://www.uaustin.org/ceph) at the University of Austin invites applications and nominations for a full-time professor of history (any rank) faculty position to begin as early as Summer 2026. Applicants should have a strong interest in teaching undergraduate history as well as research. As a new university entering our third year of full-time operations, we seek to hire faculty at all levels with particular needs for a scholar who can teach a sequence in American history. The ideal candidate will be able to teach political, economic, and military history, with an applied focus and deep expertise in the United States. Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or degree conferred by the start date.
Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2025.

UATX offers a B.A. in Liberal Studies, welcoming its first freshman class in Fall 2024. The university currently employs nearly 30 full-time professors and is expanding rapidly.
The Center for Economics, Politics, and History (CEPH)
The Center of Economics, Politics, and History (CEPH) offers an undergraduate concentration in the social sciences with a focus on empirical analysis of human events. The Center aims to be a leading program for Civics and the role of individuals in shaping public policy. CEPH scholars seek to understand the enlightenment values of Western civilization that culminated in the U.S. Constitution as well as the economic growth and technological progress that are the foundation of American power. Central features of our curriculum design are interdisciplinary perspectives, empiricism, a focus on U.S. institutions, and more modern events of the past century.
