Job Overview:
The Patient Service Specialist / Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our patients throughout their healthcare journey. The Specialist is a key component of our team that works closely with the primary care provider to deliver excellent patient care, ensuring services are provided within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines. The Specialist must take exceptional pride in their work and never settle for "good enough".
This role involves managing patient interactions before, during, and after receiving care, ensuring a seamless experience through effective communication and coordination of services. The Specialist will handle various administrative tasks, including (but not limited to) appointment scheduling, insurance updates, patient check-in/out, chart preparation, measurement of vital signs, the drawing and preparation of lab work, and preparation of treatment rooms for upcoming examinations. The Specialist will also provide support to primary care providers throughout the Transitional Care Management process.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (required within 90 days of hire if not current upon hire)
- →One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- →Two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience in a physician practice or medical office
