Ultimate Medical Academy is a non-profit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.

The Manager, Career Services coaches, develops, and empowers individuals and teams responsible for providing personalized career guidance, connecting qualified candidates with job opportunities, and nurturing relationships with employers and alumni. They foster a sense of purpose, growth, and support, by contributing to a positive organizational culture.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Drive Team Productivity and Quality: Ensure efficient and effective daily conversion of interviews, hires, and placements. Monitor and enhance team performance to meet quality standards.
- →Student and Alumni Support Management: Manage communication, forecasting, and support for UMA’s current students, graduating students, and alumni. Provide personalized guidance to help them navigate their career paths.
- →Graduate Career Development: Guide graduates through the entire interview and hiring process with multiple Allied Healthcare employers: Prepare graduates for interviews; Facilitate interview attendance; Assist with job offers and onboarding; Support graduates in their new roles.
- →Customer Service and Relationship Building: Handle manager-level customer service, re-engagement, and de-escalation calls, as necessary. Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders, including students, alumni, and employers.
- →Team Member Call Monitoring: Conduct regular coaching sessions, monitor calls, and provide one-on-one development for all assigned team members.
- →Lead with Care: Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of wellness, recognition, and engagement. Meet regularly with direct reports in one-on-one and group settings to provide feedback and cultivate/maintain a positive work culture.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.

- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in recruiting, career services, employment assistance, or sales.
- Skills – people leadership, multi-tasking, ability to handle a high-pressure environment, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.
Requirements

- 3+ years’ experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
- Experience leading teams and/or people.
- Experience developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Other skills and abilities – project management, complex problem-solving, time management, influence, and empathy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
- Fully remote with occasional planned onsite travel required.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, ability to be on camera, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
- May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.
