Scope of Work:

The scope of work include evidence generation on the planning, financing and procurement decisions of vaccines
and nutrition commodities, policy analysis on health systems and procurement systems, engagement with key
informants and stakeholders, analysis and documentation of recommendations.

Requirements

Fluency in English (written and spoken) required
 
  • MA in Health Economics, Health Financing, Public Health, Economics, Health Policy Management, Public Policy or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare financing
  • Experience in health systems strengthening,
  • Experience in conducting health systems research and policy analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in health economics, health financing and health systems analysis.
  • Expertise in analyzing public sector budgeting, resource allocation, procurement and/or supply chain systems.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including mixed-methods study design and implementation.
  • Expertise in developing research protocols, ethics submissions and analytical reports.
  • Skills in stakeholder engagement, facilitation and report writing.
  • Experience working with provincial health systems in South Africa.
  • Familiarity with immunization, nutrition, primary health care and child health programmes
  • Experience conducting public expenditure reviews, fiscal space analyses, or resource allocation studies.
  • Experience working with government, UNICEF, WHO or other development partners.
