The Government of Madhya Pradesh is committed to enhancing evidence-based decision-making in school education through the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), a flagship initiative aimed at real-time monitoring, data-driven governance, and policy-level interventions. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the role of robust data systems for school education (NEP 2020, Para 8.7) and mandates the use of technology for improving learning outcomes, tracking student progress, and ensuring efficient resource allocation (NEP 2020, Para 23.2). The Vidya Samiksha Kendra serves as a centralized data intelligence unit, integrating key databases such as the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE+), the state’s Education Management & Information System (EMIS), real-time school monitoring and assessment data and tracking of at-risk and out-of-school children (OoSC).
