Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Nutrition Manager, and in close collaboration with the team, the consultant will undertake the following responsibilities:
-Nutrition Programme Planning, Implementation, and Monitoring
-Support for Resource Mobilization
-Strengthen nutrition information and reporting systems
-Reporting, Knowledge Management, and Transition
- Technically support for nutrition assessments, surveys, formative research, and operational learning studies on nutrition
- Support for Emergency Preparedness and Nutrition in Humanitarian Action
- Capacity Strengthening, Coordination, and Partnerships
- Nutrition Systems Strengthening, Sustainability, and Scale-up Support

Requirements
~1 min read- Education: And advanced university degree (Masters) in one of the following fields is required: Nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global/international health and nutrition, health/nutrition research, policy and/or management, health sciences nutritional epidemiology, or another health related science field
- Work Experience:
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health/nutrition care.
- Advocacy and strategic engagement experience in the nutrition sector an asset, especially if in the context of stunting and/or wasting.
- Experience in nutrition programme development, multi-sector programming, and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset
- Excellent communication, report writing, and analytical skills.
- Background/familiarity with emergency operations
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Amharic is required
- Skills:
- A high level of organizational and coordination skills.
- An excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
- Ability to produce quality work within a deadline and under pressure
- Highly developed communication skills
