Requirements

            1.Provide administrative and operational support to Programme Officer in the Field Office.

    1. Manage data tracking, consolidation, and reporting tools.
    1. Document key challenges, programme delivery and support to partners in the field. 
    1. Support partner coordination and follow-up.
    1. Conduct visits to community centers, Public Schools, MAKANI & DIRASA Programe. 
    1. Assist in organizing assessments, field activities, and documentation.
    1. Ensure timely information flow between partners, field teams, and coordination structures.
    2. Attend relevant meetings related to section, sector and, assist in programme follow-up and monitoring.

  • A university degree (Bachelor's) in Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in programme support, preferably in child protection, education, humanitarian, or development programmes.
  • Experience working with government counterparts, NGOs, and local authorities and coordination is desirable.
  • Experience supporting emergency response and recovery programmes is desirable.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (high proficiency written and spoken) is required. French is a plus.

This position has been assessed as an elevated risk role for Child Safeguarding purposes as it is either a role with direct contact with children, a role that works directly with identifiable children’s data, a safeguarding response role, or an assessed risk role. Additional vetting and assessment for elevated risk roles in child safeguarding (potentially including additional criminal background checks) apply.

Failure to comply with such requirements, where applicable and without a duly approved medical exemption from the relevant UN authority, will result in the cancellation of the selection or may lead to other administrative measures, including separation from service

Government employees who are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government positions before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
