Social and Behavior Change in UNICEF is a cross-cutting programme strategy that addresses the cognitive, social and structural determinants of social change in both development and humanitarian contexts.

Requirements
~1 min read- Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in social and behavioral science, public health, health promotion, communication for development, social sciences, anthropology, sociology, psychology, development studies, international development, public policy, or another relevant field is required.
- Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in social and behavior change, community engagement, risk communication and community engagement, health promotion, public health programme planning, communication for development, social mobilization, accountability to affected populations, or a related area is required.
- Skills:
- Designing and implementing Social and Behavior Change (SBC) programmes.
- Community engagement, participation and social accountability.
- Behavioral research, social listening and evidence generation.
- Public health programming, including PHC, RMNCAH and immunization.
- Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) in development and humanitarian settings.
- Monitoring, evaluation and data-driven programme management.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Relevant experience in designing, implementing, monitoring or evaluating SBC and community engagement interventions for PHC, RMNCAH, immunization, health emergencies, outbreak response or community health systems is highly desirable.
- Experience working in humanitarian, fragile, pastoralist, hard-to-reach or underserved settings is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
