UNICEF Brazil is addressing interested staff members to back fill the post of Accounting & Finance Associate (Fundraising) in Brasilia on a stretch assignment for a duration of 3 months. Under the supervision of the Finance Officer, the position provides financial support focused on the preparation and analysis of financial information related to fundraising activities and bank reconciliation, working in close connection with the Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) team and the other members of the Finance section. This stretch assignment is proposed to temporarily support the finance team with these critical financial activities and ensure business continuity and operational effectiveness.
This post is responsible for providing support to the Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) operation by reporting and monitoring over financial aspects of the Country Office PSFR operation as well as performing important tasks derived from PSFR activities within the country such as reconciling contribution receipts in VISION and PSFR bank accounts; submission of monthly Country Office Revenue; supporting the submission and reporting of work-plan and budgets as well as contributing with the interpretation and application of PFP related policies and procedures in support of the fundraising operation at the country level.
Key functions:
- Providing support to the RM&P in the preparation, submission, monitoring and reporting of PFP annual work-plans, budget and results.
- Monitoring ORP (PFP Cost Charging) allocations and cash flows relating to private sector revenue and expenses.
- Update PFP Revenue and Expenditures Dashboards.
- Support RM&P in the preparation and submission of Impact Reports for information required by PFP Headquarters: QFS (Quarterly Financial Scorecard), RER (Revenue and Expenditure Report) and CF (Cash Forecast).
- Complete Dynamo and cost-charging Repayment Plans, according to PFP Headquarters deadlines.
- Monitoring fundraising contributions, record unapplied cash receipts in Vision and submit monthly income of donations to grants related to ORP (PFP Cost Charging), ORR (Country Programme), ORE (Emergencies) and RR (Regular Resources) via CORE platform.
- Responsible for the Country Office bank reconciliation, extract bank statements, check completeness and submit to GSSC.
- Providing appropriate and consistent interpretation and application of Finance and PFP related policies and procedures to support the PSFR activities at the country level.
Requirements

- A minimum of 6 years of progressive professional experience in accounting, finance management and reporting.
- Prior experience in accounts receivable and/or bank reconciliation is required.
- Prior experience working with private sector fundraising operations is an asset.
- Advanced skills in data analysis tools, Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI will be considered strong asset.
