The ECAMENA Regional Office leverages expertise and scale across a diverse and rapidly evolving region that is playing an increasingly important role in shaping global agendas on the realization of child rights, human capital, migration, climate, equity, and digital transformation. It supports the achievement of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan results in the context of rising needs and constrained resources. The region encompasses all country typologies, including high-income, middle-income, and low-income contexts, as well as fragile and conflict-affected settings, each with distinct development trajectories and policy drivers. This requires differentiated approaches, agile business models, strategic partnerships, and strengthened risk management. The region is further shaped by ongoing challenges such as conflict, migration, economic volatility, and varying degrees of political openness and reform. At the same time, countries across the region are connected by shared challenges and opportunities, including investment in the early years, addressing learning gaps and equipping adolescents and young people with 21st-century skills, the need for resilient national systems, and the imperative to strengthen child rights governance.
In this context, the ECAMENA Regional Office acts in line with the organization’s value proposition for Regional Offices through: (i) strategic leadership and governance; (ii) regional and political representation and engagement; (iii) programme oversight, knowledge, and foresight; (iv) digital transformation and innovation; (v) people-centered management; (vi) financial and risk management; (vii) supply and logistics; (viii) emergency preparedness and response; (ix) communication and strategic advocacy; and (x) partnerships and financing.
Within the ECAMENA regional model, the Supply function is positioned as both an enabler of programme delivery and a strategic lever for systems strengthening. Its work is centered on three interrelated result areas: strategic procurement, supply preparedness and response in humanitarian and fragile contexts, and supply chain optimization. Within this architecture, the emergency supply sub-team based in Amman supports regional emergency preparedness and response through emergency supply planning, logistics readiness, regional logistics hub arrangements, route and corridor mapping, pre-positioning of stock, surge support, operational monitoring, and reporting. The sub-team operates in support of a region characterized by simultaneous high-risk and active humanitarian contexts, complex cross-border logistics requirements, and the need for agile, accountable, and well-coordinated emergency supply operations.
Within this framework, the Supply & Logistics Associate - Emergency serves as the GS-level operational and administrative support post within the emergency supply sub-team under the supervision of the Supply & Logistics Manager - Emergency (P-4), and in close day-to-day collaboration with the Supply & Logistics Officer - Emergency (P-2). The post supports the practical functioning of the team through emergency stock and logistics hub records, emergency supply pipeline documentation and tracking, logistics route and corridor information support, surge deployment administration, transactional and coordination support, and maintenance of reliable emergency supply data and reporting. The post is expected to operate with functional agility in periods of active surge, within the associate support role of the emergency supply architecture.
Under the supervision of the Supply & Logistics Manager - Emergency (P-4), you will provide administrative, operational, and logistical support for the delivery of the ECAMENA regional emergency supply and logistics function. You will support the emergency supply sub-team through the maintenance of logistics hub and stock records, emergency supply pipeline documentation and tracking, logistics route and corridor support files, surge deployment administration, transactional follow-up, coordination support, and the preparation of reporting and reference materials required for timely and accountable emergency operations.
You will contribute to the effective functioning of the regional emergency supply architecture by helping ensure that emergency stock, logistics records, deployment documentation, pipeline information, and related operational data are current, organized, and readily available for timely use. You will also support pre-positioning, logistics readiness, emergency procurement and logistics follow-up within delegated authority, and other emergency support activities as directed by the supervisor, particularly during periods of intensified operational demand and surge response.

- Emergency supply pipeline documentation, tracking, and reporting
- Logistics route mapping and operational information support
