The University of Connecticut is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Women’s Rowing Coach.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Women’s Rowing Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I women’s rowing program with an emphasis on the recruitment of prospective student-athletes; development of the student-athlete; race day preparation; assisting with boat maintenance and repair; marketing and community involvement; fundraising and alumni relations; transporting boats to competitions; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Rowing Coach. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One year of coaching experience, preferably at the college level.
  • Collegiate student-athlete rowing experience or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with and alignment to the University’s academic goals.
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication and public relations skills.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Ability to drive a boat trailer.
  • Demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes.
  • Student-athlete development philosophies consistent with that of the Division of Athletics and its women’s rowing program.

This is a full-time position. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
