Responsibilities
~1 min readThis individual will be responsible for all aspects of a Division I Women’s Rowing program including coordinating recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes; development of the student-athlete; meet preparation; supporting the academic staff to ensure academic success of team members; assist with marketing and community involvement; budget management; compliance; fundraising; and other administrative duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or his designee.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five years of collegiate and/or elite rowing coaching experience in a full-time position.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a successful program within NCAA and conference regulations.
- Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.
- Experience teaching and communicating effectively.
- Demonstrated experience and success in recruiting, talent identification and talent development of qualified student-athletes.
- Strong commitment to the academic goals of the University.
- Organizational, communication, relationship-building, and public relations skills.
- Three or more years of Division I collegiate coaching experience as a head coach (within the past five years), including demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes.
- Knowledge of the policies, rules and regulations of the NCAA.
- Possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with that of the Division of Athletics.
