i3 is seeking a highly organized Product Delivery Lead to help drive the next stage of growth and operational maturity for one of UConn’s most agile and fast-moving groups. i3 partners directly with university leadership, faculty, and operational units to design and deliver institutionally owned software platforms and digital solutions to support student success, research advancement, and university operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambitious initiatives, coordinating across teams, and helping transform ideas into successfully delivered products. 

The successful candidate will help establish and evolve the operational processes that support agile product delivery across i3’s growing portfolio of institutional platforms and digital initiatives. This includes helping coordinate delivery workflows, backlog management, sprint planning, stakeholder communication, implementation tracking, and operational continuity across multiple simultaneous projects. Working closely with developers, designers, student contributors, and university stakeholders, this role will play a key part in helping i3 scale its impact, improve delivery consistency, and keep some of the university’s most visible and strategically important digital initiatives moving forward. 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains operational workflows and delivery processes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Maintains and prioritizes project backlogs, implementation timelines, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Coordinates sprint planning, task assignment, and delivery activities across staff and student contributors.
  • Tracks project progress, identifies risks and operational bottlenecks, and helps ensure high-priority initiatives remain on track.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination between technical teams, university stakeholders, and project partners.
  • Helps establish and refine agile product delivery practices, documentation standards, and operational protocols across the organization.
  • Coordinates implementation planning, testing activities, issue tracking, and release readiness efforts.
  • Supports operational leadership and portfolio-level visibility across institutional and faculty-supported digital initiatives.
  • Assists with onboarding, coordination, and operational support for student developers and contributors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  
  • Five to six years of related experience. Two years of experience must be serving as an advanced/senior team member or working as a project lead.  
  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects, initiatives, or operational workflows with competing deadlines.
  • Experience facilitating communication and coordination across multiple stakeholder groups, teams, or organizational units.
  • Experience using project tracking, collaboration, or documentation tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing written documentation, project updates, meeting summaries, or operational reports.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing, prioritizing, and tracking multiple assignments or deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting higher ed software, digital transformation, or operational modernization initiatives.
  • Experience implementing or supporting agile project delivery practices such as sprint planning, backlog management, or iterative release coordination.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with AI-assisted productivity or software delivery tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
